Photo of the tarp that is hung under the bridge to collect saw cutting slurry from entering Thatcher Brook. The slurry will be pumped out and disposed of from the tarp.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS: Monday, June 23, through Friday, June 27, traffic lights at the intersection of Stowe Street and Vermont Route 100 (VT 100) will operate as normal with limited disruptions. 
Bridge #36 on Stowe Street over the Thatcher Brook will remain closed to all traffic for 60 days. The signed detour will direct traffic along Waterbury-Stowe Road (VT 100), U.S. 2, and Stowe Street.
In order to accommodate pedestrians needing to cross the bridge, the Town of Waterbury will be offering an on-demand shuttle service for those who need local assistance. Anyone needing the shuttle service or wanting more information should contact the Waterbury Municipal Manager, Tom Leitz at (802) 244-4300 (Office).
