TRAFFIC ALERT
WATERBURY BO 1446(40)
[Waterbury Bridge #36 Replacement Project]

DATE: Friday, July 11, 2025

TRAFFIC IMPACTS: Bridge #36 on Stowe Street over Thatcher Brook will remain closed to all traffic for 60 days. The signed detour directs traffic along Waterbury-Stowe Road (VT 100), U.S. 2, and Stowe Street.
Motorists are asked to stay alert and not follow trucks while traveling through the work zone.

In order to accommodate pedestrians needing to cross the bridge, the Town of Waterbury is offering an on-demand shuttle service for those who need local assistance. Anyone who needs the shuttle service or wanting more information should contact the Waterbury Municipal Manager, Tom Leitz at (802) 244-4300 (Office).

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: Crews will continue to excavate the bedrock behind the cofferdams and prepare the bedrock for the concrete subfooting pour.
