Sign Up for Free Emergency Alerts

Posted Friday, July 7, 2017

This is a free Vermont Emergency Management system that local officials in Waterbury can now utilize for customized and immediate alerts.  A flyer on how to sign up and register for VTAlert notifications has been included with the tax bills that have just been sent out.  Important information that may impact the area may include: severe weather, Amber Alerts, flood alerts, local boil water notices, other public health notifications, road and bridge closures and/or anticipated construction delays.

If you aren't already signed up for this free alert service, you can go to www.vtalert.gov and follow the step by step directions to register the types of notices that you would like to receive.  You will be able to select the method for receiving the alerts such as landline, cell phone, text, and/or email.
