The Conservation Commission is a Town appointed Board of nine members that works under the auspices of the Planning Commission and the Select Board. It is the mission of the Town of Waterbury’s Conservation Commission to conserve and promote the quality of Waterbury’s cultural and natural resources and the benefits they provide to the residents of our town.
Meetings: 2nd Tuesday of each month from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Steele Community Room at 28 North Main Street.

24 V.S.A. §1991-1999 defines municipal and county government duties with regards to codes of conduct, conflicts of interest, whistleblower protections, and ethics enforcement. In 2025, the Town adopted its own Conflict of Interest Policy and Ethics Investigation & Enforcement Ordinance to supplement state law.
