FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
The Waterbury Town Offices will introduce a dedicated administrative day on Thursdays beginning March 19. On these days, the offices will be closed to the public so staff can focus on essential administrative work that supports municipal services.
This schedule adjustment is expected to be temporary and will remain in place until staffing levels return to normal.
“These days will be full workdays for town staff to complete time-sensitive materials that keep critical municipal services running smoothly,” said Bill Woodruff, Interim Municipal Manager. “Staff will be able to manage the heavy workloads that have accumulated during the past several months while the town has been short-staffed,” he explained, recognizing that “changes to office hours can be inconvenient and we appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we move forward.”
Town Offices will remain open to the public Monday through Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Residents can stay informed about Town updates by visiting the Town website or subscribing to news alerts at: www.waterburyvt.com/news/subscribe.
