The Town of Waterbury municipal offices will resume regular public hours five days a week beginning Monday, July 13, following the hiring of a new assistant town clerk.

In mid-March, the offices began closing to the public on Thursdays to allow the reduced staff to focus on administrative duties. Since then, Town Clerk Wesley Pollock has been appointed by the Select Board. Pollock then hired Myria McNally as Assistant Town Clerk.

Longtime Assistant Town Clerk Beth Jones, who postponed her planned retirement to help maintain operations during the transition, has been training McNally and will gradually reduce her hours as she prepares to retire.

“We’re delighted that we’re fully staffed and have two capable and dedicated additions to the Town Clerk’s office to allow us to return to offering full public service five days a week,” said Jones.

Regular municipal hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
