Waterbury Recreation Committee has taken on the following in the past: Assisting
the town with facility and equipment repair; supporting local recreation development;
working with other municipals and local groups with various tasks; supporting
local recreation programs and events; and sponsoring community gatherings like
the Annual Skating and Bonfire Party. The Waterbury Recreation Committee is
currently made up of 5 members. The committee does have openings for new members,
if interested please contact the committee chair. Meetings: Recreation
Committee meets the 4th Monday each month 7:00 pm in Recreation Building at
Anderson Field.

Development Committee
Carol O'Neill - Chair 244-5280, Milly Badger, Ken Feld, Mary Miller,
Ted Schultheis, Steve VanEsen. The committee's mission is to promote the development
and growth of new and existing businesses to enhance the quality
of life in Waterbury. We actively solicit businesses seeking to become established
or to grow within the Village (including Colbyville) and needing financing
to support this effort. Waterbury is the fortunate recipient of interest monies
from funds that assisted Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream in developing their manufacturing
facility here in town. That loan to Ben & Jerry's carried with it the obligation
that the interest be paid to Waterbury. In turn, Waterbury has loaned the money
to further commercial development. WCDC reviews requests and passes recommendations
to the municipal board for approval. Meetings: The
2nd Wednesday of each month 6-7pm in the Municipal Building. Additional working
meeting once per month.

The Conservation
Commission is a Town appointed Board of nine member that
works under the auspices of the Planning Commission and the
Selectboard. It is the mission of the Town of Waterbury’s
Conservation Commission to conserve and promote the quality
of Waterbury’s cultural and natural resources and the
benefits they provide to the residents of our town. We meet
the second Tuesday of each month at the Town Office at 7:00
PM.
