Local Incentives
Waterbury has taken signficant steps in order to welcome new businesses and jobs into our Village. These include:
● A new, fully-serviced industrial park with a flexible build to suit developer.
● A substantial local revolving loan fund.
● A renowned list of local manufacturers that include such nationally known firms as Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Ben & Jerry's, Karl Suss, and Rome Snowboards.

Regional Incentives
Waterbury is part of the dynamic Central Vermont region. It is the hub of the Vermont insurance, granite, specialty foods, and textile industries. We have a very active regional business chamber, industry association, and a regional economic development office. You can expect the following assistance from our regional partners:
● Regional Loan Programs for qualifying businesses, including USDA Rural Development and Small Business Administration (SBA) loans.
● Regional Chamber insurance programs, networking and demographic information.
● Utilities will offer an industrial rate discount program for qualified new businesses to the region.
● A Small Business Development office to assist small companies in developing business plans and financials.

State Incentives
The State Economic Development Department can assist new businesses to the Waterbury area in the following ways:
● Below-market Financing for real estate, buildings, and equipment loans.
● Job Training Grants for qualifying companies.
● Permit Assistance, Market Support, Govt. Bid On-Line Procurement and International Export/Import Assistance.
● Community Block Grant support for qualifying projects.
